SG&A Benchmarking ("we") provides outside-in organizational benchmarking to businesses. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
When you request a benchmark, we collect the details you submit: your name, work email, role, the company you represent, and the peer companies and scope you want benchmarked. We use this only to prepare your quote, deliver your engagement, and communicate with you about it. We do not sell it.
As you fill out the intake, we also record your progress and entries as you go, including partial information from intakes that are started but not submitted, so we can understand and improve the request experience and, where appropriate, follow up. Alongside this we record your approximate location (city and region) and a truncated form of your IP address, derived at our server; we do not store your full IP address with these records. (Separately, IP addresses are used to identify visiting organizations — see Visitor identification and form enrichment below.) You can ask us to delete any of this at any time using the contact below.
Our benchmarks are produced from public professional data about companies: public LinkedIn footprints, third-party firmographic databases such as ZoomInfo, and public regulatory filings such as SEC documents. We process this to produce aggregate, function-level headcount estimates. Our deliverables are organizational aggregates, not dossiers on individuals, and we do not compile or sell contact lists or sensitive personal data.
Submissions are stored with our infrastructure providers (for example, database and email services) solely to operate the service. We share information only with those service providers, and only as needed to run the service. We do not sell personal information.
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement. We use Google Tag Manager to load these tools, which may include Google Analytics, Google Ads, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. They collect standard usage data (for example, pages viewed and whether you started or submitted a benchmark request) and set cookies that help us understand traffic and measure how our ads perform on platforms such as LinkedIn. These providers process that data under their own privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we honor applicable opt-out signals.
We use two ZoomInfo tools on this site that do more than ordinary analytics. We want to be plain about both, because they work differently from each other.
WebSights sends your IP address to ZoomInfo, which attempts to match that address to the organization it belongs to. Alongside it we may receive the pages you viewed, session activity, and firmographic details about that organization such as its name, domain, industry and size. The practical effect is that we may learn that a given company visited a given page on this site. We use this to understand which kinds of businesses are interested in benchmarking, and occasionally to decide who to reach out to. This part identifies organizations rather than individuals, and where a visit comes from a home or mobile connection rather than a corporate network it usually resolves to an internet provider and tells us nothing useful at all.
FormComplete works at the level of the individual. When you type into a form on this site — for example the work email address on our benchmark request — what you enter may be sent to ZoomInfo as you type, before you submit anything. ZoomInfo looks for a matching business contact record and can return further professional details about you, such as your full name, job title, employer, and business phone number. Some of those details may be used to complete the rest of the form, and we receive them along with your submission. This means we may end up holding professional information about you that you did not type in yourself.
To be clear about the limits: this is business contact information drawn from ZoomInfo's B2B database, not personal or sensitive data, and we use it only to understand and respond to your request. We do not add it to marketing lists, and we do not sell it. If you would rather this did not happen, do not enter your work email into the form — email us directly at the address below and we will take your request that way instead.
ZoomInfo processes this data under its own privacy policy, and honors the Global Privacy Control signal if your browser sends one. You can request removal of your data directly through ZoomInfo's Privacy Center, linked from the footer of their site. You can also ask us to delete anything we hold about you using the contact below.
We keep intake submissions and deliverables for as long as needed to serve you and to keep normal business records. You can ask us to delete your submission at any time.
